I'm Mike Navarro. I grew up right here in Mesa Verde on Canyon Drive and went to Estancia High School. Costa Mesa is my home, and plumbing is the only trade I've ever known.

I started my plumbing apprenticeship back in 2005 with a local contractor here in Orange County. By 2008, I had my license and was running my own calls. I started focusing heavily on slab leak work around 2011. Why? Because I was seeing too many of my neighbors getting ripped off, and frankly, I was tired of fixing other people's bad pipe patches. I'd go out to second-opinion calls and see where other companies had recommended tearing up a whole living room floor for a leak that could have been rerouted or lined.

Since then, I've completed over 800 slab leak jobs across Costa Mesa and surrounding OC cities. I've probably been inside half the houses on Arbor Street in Mesa Verde at this point.

I know the Mesa Consolidated Water District water quality issues, and I know exactly how these 1960s and 1970s tract homes were piped. That local experience saves my customers time and money because I usually know what I'm looking at before I even pull my tools out.

Why the Written Estimate matters

A few years ago, I had a customer who called me in tears. She had hired another company who gave her a verbal quote, did the work, and then handed her a surprise bill for double the amount because of "unforeseen complications." That's when I made it a strict rule for my own business: you always get a Written Estimate before I start any work. You know exactly what the job costs and what it involves. No surprises.

The equipment I use

I don't guess where your leak is. I use acoustic listening devices, an electronic pipe locator, and a thermal camera to pinpoint the exact location of the problem. None of it looks like it belongs on a plumbing truck, but it beats jackhammering first and asking questions later. If we have to open the slab, it's only exactly where it needs to be opened.

When it's time to settle up, I try to make it as easy as possible. I accept Cash, Check, Credit Card, and I have Financing Available if you need it. At the end of the day, I actually like this work — there's nothing quite like finding a hidden leak and leaving a home better than I found it.
